Religious Education
The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in our pews—child or adult—is on a personal journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship. Our Religious Education ministry supports families in nurturing that journey by offering structured formation, sacramental preparation, and opportunities for young people to grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith.
Religious Education Classes (Grades 1–8)
Our Religious Education program for grades 1 through 8 provides age-appropriate instruction in Scripture, Church teaching, prayer, and liturgical life. Classes meet weekly during the school year and are led by dedicated catechists who are committed to helping children build a strong foundation of faith and values.
Sacrament Preparation for First Communion & First Penance
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist typically begins in 2nd grade and includes both classroom instruction and family involvement. Children must complete at least one year of Religious Education prior to beginning sacramental preparation. Sessions focus on understanding God’s love, the meaning of forgiveness, and the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Confirmation Preparation
Our Confirmation program is designed for high school students (typically beginning in 9th grade) who have already completed earlier stages of Religious Education. Preparation includes catechesis, service projects, retreat experiences, and regular participation in Mass. The program encourages students to take ownership of their faith and become active, Spirit-filled members of the Church.
High School Youth Ministry
In addition to Confirmation classes, our High School Youth Ministry offers spiritual, social, and service opportunities for teens to grow in faith and fellowship. Through events, discussions, and outreach activities, we help young people deepen their relationship with Christ and with one another while exploring how to live out their faith in everyday life.
